PostSubject: Proud Corso Owner - Brutus Kennels   Thu 15 Mar - 10:58

Hi All. I'm the proud owner of a Brutus Kennel Cane Corso named Madison. Madison was born July 2001. Her father is Brutus but I can't remember her mothers name..... not that it matters at this point..... Madison has the most amazing temperament considering her health is the worst I've seen in a dog. She has severe spondylosis, IBD, alopecia and has now blown a knee..... I've also heard other horror stories of her litter mates.... I'm very happy (not really the right word) that there are other corso owners out there with similar experiences with their breeders and dogs. I may learn alot from reading your postings!! Can't wait to get started! I love my dog and would do anything for her just as she does for me even when she isn't feeling all that well... Thank you for running this group!!

Hello and welcome. Do you know the name of Brutus Kennel owners? If it is the same Brutus many of the dogs here are related to another one of their dogs.
Thanks
Kathy

Kathy,

Paul and Madga were the owners when I bought Madison. They went off the radar when she had their own baby shortly after I got Madi. Sorry I've moved to BC since and have her papers in a box in storage so I haven't been able to get more information!

Your Madi is very sweet. I would love to see more pictures. The Brutus Kennels your baby is from is the same one that owns or did own York Del Dyrium. This dog is supposedly in most of our dogs pedigrees. That of course is according to our very unethical lying breeder. I personally am very skeptical of anything this woman says or claims and since none of us been provided with promised paperwork there is no proof of our pedigrees. Thanks for getting back to me.

I have seen there dog a friend bought one from the same mother as your dog, it looked like your dog. They only had 2 females ever a black female named tina and a tan female named agata she has the same real short face and yellow eyes like your puppy.

Brutus kennels only ever had 2 litters with the black dog and 3 with the tan dog, brutus lives with a relative of the family and is still alive I see him some times in my area out for walks.

Many people in our area have dogs from brutus kennels as they sold most of the puppys local in the newspaper.

I think both female dogs came from italy and both female dogs are related. I do know agata for sure is from a breeder known as raffelli corini, her father is a famous champion named ruebens as he is also her monther father as this is an inbreed dog and my friends family think this is why many people had problems with her puppys.

My friend dog is a male and he is a silver blue fawn he is very big and has the same pushed up bulldog face he even snorts like a bulldog. I want a pup from him but they made a good choice not to breed him so I am in the market now for a puppy.

Can anyone tell me where to find good strong cane corso puppys in my area? I will come back again soon to read your replys.

Sean

Hello Sean. I do not think that you will find any healthy CC pups in your area. Do you know York another dog owned by Brutus?

PostSubject: Agata is the mother... Thank you!   Mon 19 Mar - 12:05

Thank you for the detail! Agata is her mother.... I knew the mother's name started with an A but beyond that I have just let it go!!! I was at the breeders a bit before during and after Madi was born. Some friends of mine have a female from the black female and their dog is in amazing shape.... She was the reason I went in search of Brutus Kennels..... These same friends had a sibling of Madi's but he was dead by 3 years old.... I will post pictures of Madison as soon as I can. Madi has/had an identical twin sister in her litter (we could only tell them apart from the nick on the top of Madi's head). I think that Magda and Paul kept her for themselves?! I haven't been in touch with them in 5 years so memory doesn't always serve!! I'm glad that you all remember the details of the kennels and parentage!!

sean, the black female's name is actually Tiva, She is out of Nico degli Olmi and Panther from Blancho's Kennels. If Agata came from Corini she came from a kennel called Il Parco del Po. Neither of these kennels breed anymore because of unhealthy dogs.

York aka Brutus comes from excellent bloodlines....

I've posted a few pictures of Madison in the Gallery. They were taken a little over 2 years ago.... when I still lived in Ontario!

PostSubject: Final Post   Wed 17 Jun - 23:23

Madison died just over a month ago. She put up a great fight and the vet said we had done absolutely everything we could possibly do to give her a happy life. She raised 3 kittens, re-trained a rescued Sheltie and raised/played with a rescued Lhasa Apso puppy up until the day she died. She still had the best temperament of any dog I've seen. Just thought I would tell you the end of her story! Madi was 7 1/2 years old. I would get another CC in a flash...... but would do alot more homework than I thought I had done the first time around!! Thank you for having the board up for others to read!
