Hi Everyone, My name is Betty-Anne. I am new here to the site and to the computer,so please bear with me. I have a 4 year old precious boy named Cayman , he has been having seizures for 3 years. He takes 120mg of pheno and 3.5ml of Potassium Bromide twice daily. He still has cluster seizures every six weeks, they last for 2 days. He suffers from some neurological problems in between seizures. Cayman came from Rustic Kennels his parents are Star and Rhino. After he started having seizures I found out Rhino was an epileptic. It pains me to say they are still breeding Rhino.Well I should finish up because I was up at 2:30 am taking care of my sick boy, he is resting now but I know he is not done yet. We will most likely have another rough night. Bye for now, Betty

I believe star was a pit bull? Unless she had another dog named Star? _________________ I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. -Voltaire

So Sorry to hear about Cayman... Unfortunately this makes 32 dogs (that we know of) out of Rustic Kennels inflicted with Epilepsy. After 4 yrs of collecting data the number still continues to grow and Angela is still breeding these inferior lines. Ignorance is bliss I guess. do you know Caymans' birth date? As far as we know the only dog named Star was a pitbull but Angela is always lying so who knows what dog is out of what combination. Sara Pascoe is probably Sara Robinson of Authentic Alanos. I look forward to seeing pics of your boy... Hang in there! Tara

Hello Kathy, I don't know who has Rhino at the moment. Sarah used to have him. Her ex might still have him. Betty

I was just reading again about the amount of drugs you give your poor baby and I was wondering how much he weighs. does he have any side effects from the drugs?

Hello Kathy, Cayman weighs 100 lbs. He does'nt have any visible side effects. He likes to sleep alot, that is maybe from his meds. It is hard, i am just trying to keep him as healthy as I can. It scares me when I read some of the stories, what the out come is. Do you happen to know the average these dogs survive? Bye for now Betty

There is no average. Some for whatever reasons some survive longer than other. Where are your pictures?
