PostSubject: Tick/mosquito control for epi sweetie   Mon 26 Jun - 15:24

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know what I've been using to manage tick/mosquito problem for Demi -- and so far it has not triggered a seizure. Her last seizure was 3 1/2 mos ago and I've been using BioSpot since then -- think K9 Anvantix is similar. Has to be reapplied every 4 wks and can be washed off with soap and water. When I 1st applied it, thought that would be a good thing as it would be safer -- could have washed it off if it triggered a seizure.

Ticks/Lyme disease are a horrendous problem here in So. New Eng. and our mosquitos are the size of small birds. Even though this is suppose to be a very bad year for ticks, have found only 1 dead tick on her and mosquitos don't seem very interested in her. She's sched for Lyme titer and heartworm check this week. Use the BioSpot that's for dogs over 66 lbs -- and it is also working well on big boy Brodhi (175 lbs).
