Hi everyone!

I have been so busy lately but thought I would share our good news.

My family welcomed a new baby girl: Charlotte Mackenzie, on July 14, 2008 at 14:29. She was premature (35 weeks) and weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. She spent 10 days in NICU with some minor breathing issues but is home now and doing well.

it's been awhile since i've been on here. I own Ruby, a corso that I purchased through angela at rustic kennels. She has a few health issues, which so far I've been able to keep under control.

I've just been surfing the american bandog resources website, and when I scrolled down to the bottom, there are 2 breeders of cane corsos in Canada----------and one of them is Rustic Kennels in Lorreto, Ontario.

The contact person is Doug Pollard. Is this kennel still in operation? ...

I purchased a beautiful male cane corso pup from Angela of Rustic Kennels in 2004. To Make a long story short he had his first seizure in April 2005, we got his epilepsy under control with phenobarital for a few months then he started having cluster seizures in the fall of 2005. After 12 major seizures in a 24 hour period in October we had to put him to rest and end his pain and suffering. I am wondering if anyone has pursued any legal avenues to either get their money back, or to recoup some of their veterinary costs? If anyone has done this, have they received a judgement?

Just having a look around

as some one posted a while ago on my site (CANE CORSO UK )

I have now closed it down

and have my rescue sites up as caring for the unwanted dogs is more important to me than helping the breeders sell their pups and their ego's.

I dont care if they hip score and have contracts on their pups they are still flooding the market with pups.....

And some are breeding from old females over 7 years

I run CaneCorsouk&MolosserRescue (CCUK&MR)

Cheyenne is 7 yrs old. She was picked up on the street near death and nursed back. I own two Cane Corsos and I am not new to dogs and have been involved in several venues including dog showing and working dogs. Although not with this breed. I purchased these dogs from the same breeder and I am NOT breeding nor showing these lines ....as they are only pet stock and have come to find that out myself. I am not disappointed in my dogs but dismayed at how people sell these dogs....as with any line. I look forward to meeting others on this forum and educate myself further on ...

So it has been a while, and truthfully still hard to come here. It sadens me to still see that Angela's plague lives on, destroying more puppies and families.

It is nearly a year since Kai is gone, and though I believed my son would soon forget her, he's now 3, and talks about her on a regular basis - asking where she is, when she is going to come back. It breaks my heart.

Got contacted about this Corso - dog does have a blown cruicate but is totally repairable. Young and sweet natured. Now we need help getting the vet attention this dog needs.
